Thoughts often appear as uninvited guests when we are reminded in the present of something from the past or of an upcoming event in the future. And we don't even need thoughts to live. Sometimes, for example, when we plan something, it makes sense to consciously put our thoughts into it. If we allow our thoughts to flow at any time, we are often plagued by many turbulent emotions. The best way out of there is to get into the silence of your thoughts. The Yoga Sutras refer to this meditative state as samadhi and it is access to art, superpowers, cognitive peak performance, happiness and much more.
